It's time to dream big dreams. Remember when you thought you could do anything? You might have been about 5 years old, or perhaps a bit older. If you never felt this, it's never too late to dream big. You were meant to do great things, to live with purpose, to find your calling in life, to live life to the fullest, to not be afraid and basically to GO FOR IT!
Did anyone crush your dreams? Who told you that you couldn't do something or you wouldn't amount to anything? Who put you down? Who stomped on your creative ideas or maybe no one really encouraged you To Dream?
Unfortunately, sometimes the closest people to us or those we are in contact on a regular basis (friends, work/school, family/relatives) are the ones who have may have done this damage and have hurt us the most. Or perhaps you really don't find fault in anyone, but you blame yourself. You didn't make things happen the way you wanted things to work out. Or you feel like you didn't even try. Guilt, regrets., self-blame and self-condemnation. And then the years quickly pass by and we have not dreamed any bigger nor moved any closer to our dreams of long ago.
Oh but let us not be weary in well doing to dream big. What if Martin Luther King Jr. didn't dream big? The lives of many people would tragically be worsened. Your dream is important because it not only satisfies the longing of your soul, it will most likely help others as well, other people's dreams, so that they can one day dream big too.
"Let us not seek to satisfy our thirst for freedom by drinking from the cup of bitterness and hatred. I say to you today, my friends, that in spite of the difficulties and frustrations of the moment, I still have a dream. ”
Martin Luther King Jr.
Be inspired to dream big!
